You can expect these positive changes from my industry in the following decade:

1. Product-pushers will be replaced by advisors who charge a fee for advice.

2. More advisors will focus on niche markets (doctors, lawyers, etc.) to improve and differentiate their services.

3. Fees will no longer be so opaque, and clients will have a better understanding of what exactly they’re paying.

Some advisors will adapt faster than others, but thankfully natural selection expedites necessary change.
